August 30, 2002:
I took two photos of the incomplete New York expansion on my way back from Michigan.
April 13, 2002:
I took part in a NELSAP hike here with Jeremy and some contributors. We hiked up the mountain just to skiers right of the double chair lift line for the most part, ate at the summit, then hiked down somewhat to skiers left of the lift line. Once at the base, we explored the top of the Poma slope that heads toward Massachusetts.
March 9, 2002:
First, I parked at the parking lot and walked around the immediate base area. I then crossed the road and walked up the ridge to the south and took some photos from there. Next, I drove down to the New York valley to take some shots of the incomplete major expansion, as well as to look for a possible base area (some hints, but nothing conclusive, all private property now). I then returned to the Petersburg Pass parking lot and hiked the straight, flat trail to the right of the ski area - along the top of the proposed New York expansion. I noticed smaller growth from the twenty year growth, as well as hints of logging trails on the side of the mountain still holding snow.
Late 1980s/Early 1990s:
Turned around here on the way (lost) to the Berkshire Mall. Did not know it was once a ski area.
